Each stage of the dog’s development, the training method is very different.
Dog training requires patience in the parenting process. At the same time, love for dogs is the first prerequisite. Usually, training dogs to perform basic movements and commands should begin with puppy training, when they are about 6-12 months old.
At this stage, the dog’s ability to learn and absorb is highest. During training, you should also give them prizes to encourage the dogs’ learning spirit so that they try harder.
Like other pets, the most suitable training is good habits for them. You can train your dog to go to the toilet in the right place, not to pee miscellaneous with a dog litter box. In addition, train them with basic commands such as: sit, run, lie down… With pets, you do not require them to command too complex and highly professional. Therefore, choosing simple and gentle training is the most effective method.
Particularly for dogs that require high professionalism such as: guarding the owner, attacking dogs, working dogs… Dog training is a long process.
However, there are four basic stages of training a dog:
1. Acquisition
2. Fluency
3. Generalization
4. Maintenance
Acquisition
This is the first step in the dog’s desired behavior. Patience and accuracy are the key words here.
Fluency
This is the second stage where your dog becomes fluent or adaptable to the behaviors you are teaching.
Generalization
This is the third stage and it is very important. In fact, owners here sometimes get frustrated that their dog isn’t performing as they wanted or observed with previous training or trainers.
Maintenance
This is the fourth phase of training and is still in progress, but it ensures that your dog can demonstrate his skills in a wide variety of situations and locations. In addition, various dog handlers can also lead dogs to performances.
