A Vietnamese cryptocurrency platform with more than 4 million users has been hit by a major outage, leaving investors unable to access their funds and triggering widespread concern.

Since the evening of 20/03/2026, users of ONUS have reported being locked out of their accounts, with repeated login failures, network errors and non-functioning security features such as password recovery and SMS OTP verification.

The disruption has effectively frozen trading activity on the platform. Users say they cannot withdraw or manage digital assets, some reportedly worth tens of thousands of US dollars (equivalent to hundreds of millions of Vietnamese dong per account).

The company has yet to issue an official statement as of 21/03/2026, despite mounting pressure on social media. Attempts to contact its leadership have been unsuccessful.

Preliminary information from partners suggests the outage may be linked to regulatory inspections affecting operational systems and authorization processes, including transaction verification tools.

The incident has heightened concerns over access risks and operational transparency in Vietnam’s fast-growing digital asset market.
