Vietnam’s Foreign Ministry on March 19 rejected claims that the country had supplied 60 tons of goods to Iran amid the ongoing conflict.

The denial came after social media accounts circulated images purportedly showing Vietnamese aid shipments to Iran, with posts claiming the goods were sent to help the country cope with wartime shortages.

At the Foreign Ministry’s regular press briefing that afternoon, spokesperson Pham Thu Hang told reporters the claims were false. “This information is incorrect,” she said.
